Moving sideways while hanging from ledge misbehaves sometimes

In the screenshot below (from level 12) you are supposed to slide backwards down a slope and grab the ledge on the way down, then move sideways until you're over the platform in order to drop down on it. Instead, while you can grab and hold onto the ledge, when you move sideways you just slide without animation, and you get stuck at the transition from being over the water to being over the platform.

I am playing using the nix package, labeled "`nix - 1.03.23" as of writing this.

thanks, it's known bug, this place has workaround by turning in the air or by using fly cheat (O key)
