How to introduce new players to Commander Wars

There are three people to whom I would like to recommend Commander Wars. Suppose that they haven't played any of the official titles yet, how would you recommend them to get to know the game? The Tutorial is currently not working, and even I felt overwhelmed with all those options and contents that CW has to offer, even though I had played AW and AW2 before. Ideally, they would agree that I just host a game for them, but I'm worried I might impose myself. And we only meet in voice chat when playing a different game, so the recommendations should not be too complex.

My thoughts so far:

• Whenever they see a mod, filter or pre-set that says "Advance Wars 2", they should activate it. Because DS, DC and CW stuff really seems to ramp up complexity.
• Only one CO per player
• Start with either Pyramid Cape for an FFA match or Auge des Hurricans for a 4v1 match, with the three of them against an ai-controlled Black Hole player in the middle (and the 4th player being their ally).
• remember "i" for information and "tab" for finding idle units and factories.

About a year ago I found another map that seemed very beginner-friendly. However, I can't find it anymore, so I was hoping that you could help me. @Robosturm Or did you perhaps remove maps at some point?

Anyway, what I remember is this: It's a very small, pre-deployed 2P map, probably a classic. I'm mostly sure that the Orange Star HQ is in the south-west, while the Blue Moon HQ is in the north-east. The map has a bit of every AW terrain - maybe without the sea and rivers. Definitely no stuff from AW2 or later. I think the map is divided by a mountain range or, less likely, by a river. There is little more than one ground unit of every type (except missiles). Does that sound familiar to anyone? Apart from the pre-deployed maps, I've already searched the regular 2P maps, the War Room maps and the custom maps.
