2. No, because if you're using switch, the expression should be a character or integer, which stores either one character or one integer, while strings would have multiple characters. 
3. The code has a missing semicolon on the second line before "userIn". Without the semicolon, the code wouldn't compile properly, because the memory address for the variable is missing.
