This Contributor License Agreement (the Agreement) applies to every copyrightable contribution you submit to Garrison (Contribution). You means the individual submitting the Contribution and any legal entity on whose behalf that individual is authorized to act. Govcraft means the copyright holder identified in the repository's licensing notices.
By intentionally submitting a Contribution to Govcraft for inclusion in Garrison, you agree to the following terms.
You grant Govcraft and recipients of software distributed by Govcraft a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contribution and derivative works of it under any license or other terms, whether open-source, source-available, or proprietary.
You grant Govcraft and recipients of software distributed by Govcraft a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated below) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contribution, where the license applies only to patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution alone or by its combination with Garrison as submitted.
If you institute patent litigation alleging that Garrison or a Contribution incorporated into Garrison infringes a patent, patent licenses granted to you for Garrison under this Agreement terminate as of the filing date.
You represent that:
- you are legally entitled to grant these licenses;
- if your employer or another organization has rights in the Contribution, you have received permission to submit it under this Agreement;
- the Contribution is your original work, except for material you identify conspicuously with its source and license; and
- you are not knowingly submitting confidential information or material whose license conflicts with this Agreement.
You retain ownership of your Contribution. The grants above do not obligate Govcraft to use or distribute it. To the extent permitted by law, you provide the Contribution without warranties or conditions of any kind.
You agree to notify Govcraft at legal@govcraft.ai if any representation in
this Agreement becomes inaccurate. This Agreement is the entire agreement
between you and Govcraft concerning the licenses granted for your
Contribution, unless both parties sign a separate written agreement.
