🚀 Quick Deployment Guide

Step 1: Prepare (5 minutes)

# Update dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt

# Prepare config file
cp dbab.json.example ~/.dbab-config/dbab.json
# ⚠️ Edit ~/.dbab-config/dbab.json with Discord credentials

Step 2: Database (2 minutes)

python migrations.py
# Creates: users, guilds tables
# Updates: appeals table

Step 3: Run API (1 minute)

python main.py
# Runs on http://localhost:3000

Step 4: Run Dashboard (1 minute)

cd ../DBAB-APP
npm run dev
# Runs on http://localhost:5173

Step 5: Test (2 minutes)

Total Setup Time: ~15 minutes

🔐 Security Checklist

  • Changed JWT secret to random 32+ char string
  • Set Discord client_id and client_secret
  • Set redirect_uri to match Discord app settings
  • Configured MySQL with strong password
  • CORS configured appropriately
  • Tested API health endpoint
  • Tested Discord OAuth flow
  • No hardcoded secrets in code
  • All config in ~/.dbab-config/dbab.json

All API endpoints have been successfully implemented and tested.
The DBAB Dashboard can now authenticate with Discord and manage appeals!
