I took a stab at building some connectors a while back to handle some local civic data. I got into an interesting state, and then i realized... i don't want to chase people to merge PRs against the main Akashic engine just to make minor fixes.
So I started refactoring - and have gone down the path of building all of my homemade connectors and dashboards as separate modules / separate git repos for each component. I like it a bit better this way - because I'm not waiting on reviews or anyone to approve the changes I'm making / planning.
Off to the side, I would up building a helm chart to make it easier to stand up a new Akashic instance, preferably with as few outside dependencies as possible.
One of the things I realized was - I'm going to need to tell each install what extensions it needs to be loading, so that I can maximize code re-use and not waste a bunch of time ;-)
